The 3rd and final week of the crits for 2008, again both Neil Lewis and Graham Hill represented the Southborough. It was another spirited evening of racing with a number of attempts to break from the bunch. Just after the final prime with 2 laps to go 3 riders got away from the bunch. With these 3 from the same team and more of the same team hampering any attempts to close the gap by the bunch it was almost a foregone conclusion that they would stay away until the finish. In the run in to the finish Graham helped get Neil up into the sprint for the minor placings, with Neil finishing 9th (subject to confirmation). Neil finished equal 17th overall, having picked up points in a prime in an earlier race.

For the 2nd of the 3 race series the club was again represented by Neil Lewis and Graham Hills. Although the numbers were slightly reduced from the previous week there was plenty of action. Graham managed to get in a break of 8 after 2 laps but although working hard the bunch had them in sight on the last lap and they were caught with about 100m from the line. Neil placed well in the run in, sprinted to 7th place on the night missing out on 6th by a tyre's width.

Keith Henderson, riding his folding Dahon commuting bike, won the folding bike race at the Smithfield Nocturne race evening on London on the 7th June.
