Several club members and their friends made the long trip down to Pau in the Pyrennes last week to ride the Etape du Tour, the 169km ride from Pau to a mountain top finish on the Hautacam taking in the Tourmalet climb on the way. Overall there were about 8,000 riders and about 6,700 completed, the rest were either eliminated or abandoned.

The pros tackle the course on Monday 14th July, lets hope they get better weather than we did.
